I would greatly appreciate some advice on setting up outlook for accessing
newsgroups. I followed the first step as advised in the Outlook Online Help
pages os 'setting up the newsreader' but have however already encountered a
problem. I dragged and dropped the 'news' button from the catagories section
of the 'tool bars setup > customise > Go' part into the 'Go' toolbar as
suggested and this initially worked ('News' appeared in the 'Go' drop down
menu). However once I had gone off o find the news server for my ISP and
returned to Outlook it was nolonger in the 'Go' drop down menu but had
appeared as a drop down menu of its own called 'News' alongside the 'Go' one!
Clicking on it did not produce a drop down menu however but 'opened' a
directory (presumably on my haed drive somewhere) called '1003'. I deleted
this menu and returned to the Toolbars setup as before with the intention of
repeating the initial process, however 'News' nolonger appears in the 'Go'
command options window.
Thanks in advance for any help.
