No calendar or contact information

I've installed office v.X and run the updaters on a G3 powerbook
running panther. My mail works great, but I cannot get my calendar
information or address book listings. I know very little about the
server side, but our systems dept. has mentioned that we do not use an
LDAP server. Any thoughts?

LDAP access should only affect your ability to access the Global Address
List, and should not affect calendar and contact synchronization.

This was suggested earlier:
Tip: On the exchange server IIS interface. Make sure in properties of the
default web site, on the Web Site tab, "HTTP keep-alives enabled" is checked.
Once this is done, all Entourage clients free/busy info is updated and can
schedule appointments seeing user data on exchange.
