No Inbox, calendar etc.

I have an exchange 2007 server.
I can get to the owa part through the browser.
Using that same server information I cannot get my exchange account to work.
I am using entourage 12.1.4, have tested on 12.1.2 as well.
I also have access to exchange 2004 and the same client works.
I have tried on new accounts to make sure there were no conflicts in having
two exchange accounts setup for on entourage user.
When setting up the account the account verification page says everything is
ok, when I first select the mailbox it says (Not Connected) then connects
but the only thing that shows up in the account is the empty public folders.
There is no inbox, sent, deleted items, calendar, contacts etc. just blank.
If I try to use the exchange directory I get an error 170 that says I should
close and restart entourage and possibly have to rebuild the database but
that does not help. Sending new mail fails.

Any ideas?

If you haven't already, use Entourage --> Switch Identity... and create
a new identity. Set up your Exchange account again. Follow these
instructions, which are valid for both Entourage 2004 and 2008:

"Connecting Entourage to an Exchange Server at work"
<http://entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeatwork.html>

Hope this helps!

I started on a new mac with a new user account and got the same behavior, I
am guessing it is a problem with the server end something is not enabled or
something that is different between exchange 04 and 07.

If this works for Entourage 2004 then it should work for Entourage 2008.

If you're using Kerberos authentication then I suggest using standard
authentication where you must enter your name and password. This is
under the Accounts tab of your Exchange account settings in Entourage.

When connecting to Exchange Server 2007, you may need to change your
Exchange server address from:

server.domain.com

to

server.domain.com/exchange/[email protected]

where (e-mail address removed) is your E-mail address.

Hope this helps!
