Hi,

Entourage 2008 on Leopard and Exchange Server 2003, my mailbox is over 10
GB, this issue is repeating every six/eight months.How can i know which one
(the entourage DB or the Entourage cache) is corrupted?

I know this mailbox size is not recommended and it is the main problem, but
when i stop receiving new mails (i still sending ok) what is the best
procedure to know which is the element responsible for this problem?

Thanks in advance

Thanks Diane, I knew that Entourage cache can be corrupted and that way to
empty. The problem with that solution is the time i need to download all my
10 GB mailbox again.

That's why you need to read the Optomize Entourage article. Move those old
emails out of the Inbox.

Sorry about the article.

What is the normal/usual size of a mailbox for not being always in trouble
with Entourage? Some people says 10-20 GB is very problematic and unstable.

I would think you would want it to be 2gb or less. This has never been
debated here, but it would be interesting to get user's responses. I can set
up a poll and post it here for user's feedback as well.

There is no need to keep older mail in the Inbox. It's available in the
subfolder and it's not clogging up your sync each schedule.

Older Polls that are ongoing are:

1) How big is our database? (you'll see that the majority fall in the 1-8 GB
range)
<http://tinyurl.com/kko5t8>

2) How often do you backup your Entourage Identity?
<http://tinyurl.com/ye243y7>

3) Install MS Office 2008 on Snow Leopard

Our polls try to give you some info like knowing where your database is to
find the size as well as see how you compare to other users.
