NO PRIVACY WITH ENTOURAGE?

WE have multiple Entourage clients installed for use WITH Exchange Server 2003
- when users open Entourage on ther machines, their inbox is immediately
visible, without immediately prompting for their password.

did I set up their accounts wrong? what's going on here?

That's not unusual if you have the passwords stored in the keyring (I
believe that's where it is kept). I haven't used Entourage with and
Exchange server in some time, but if you stored the password in the
keychain, then it is automatically sent.

My POP and IMAP accounts on my iBook are the same way; I entered the
password when first using the accounts, clicked the "store password in
Keychain" checkbox, and haven't had to re-enter them since. I suspect
working with an Exchange server is the same, since the mail folders are (or
were) treated as IMAP folders.

Anybody have a better explanation?

Your security settings lie with the login to each computer. If you are
using multiple computers at a site and want to further enforce security, be
sure that each computer has a screen saver password with a fairly short
timer.

The security premise is that users shouldn't leave their computer unattended
and unsecure.

Same thing with our PCs here. Everything is tied to the Active
Directory. Once users log in, Outlook can be opened and e-mail accessed
without ever being asked for a password. On both the Mac and the PC, you
need to log out to prevent other people from using your account.
