No sent items in sent folder

Hello.

I'm using my .mac account with Entourage, and it's proving quite a challenge
to set up. I've figured out how to send messages finally, using the
'require authentication' option in account setup. I'm using smtp.mac.com as
my outgoing. But now I'll send a message and it won't appear in the outbox.
Why? What can I do to fix this?

By Outbox I think you mean Sent Items (per your subject line).

Go to Tools > Accounts and edit your .Mac account.

Go to the Advanced tab and check your "Store sent messages in this
IMAP folder" setting. By unchecking this box, sent messages will
appear in your Entourage Sent Items folder. If you check this box and
configure it properly, sent messages will be stored on the .Mac server.
