No Thesaurus available?

Whenever I hold the shift down key and push F7 for the thesaurus in any
Oiffice apllication I get the following error message: "No Thesaurus is
available for English (U.S.)". Why, and how do I solve the problem?

I can't really complain since I don't use it much but SHFT-F7 does get a
thesaurus in Word 2002. Apologies for not being able to help but thanks
for the reminder to me!
