No Undo?

Steve Ball

I find that, if I accidentally move, or worse, delete, a calendar event,
that there is no 'Undo' available. I can't think of a reason why an action
can't be undone. Is this the way it's supposed to work?

Thanks in advance,

I understand when no one has a fix for a problem, but surely someone can say
"undo works for me" or "that's the way it's supposed to work".

Undo does not work for me on calendar events. If you look under Edit in the
menu bar while in the calendar undo is grayed out.

You should get a warning message is you select to delete a calendar event.
Have you turned off the warning under Preferences --> Notification?

Yes I get a warning: it's like everything that happens every day. Sometimes
I notice it, sometimes I just hit 'Return' - which, by default, deletes all
instances of a recurring event.

Yesterday, I tried to drag to change the duration of an event but
accidentally moved the event. There's no warning for that. I had to drag it
back to its proper location. In every other programme in which I work, CMD+Z
puts things back to the state before the previous action. I don't understand
why Entourage doesn't allow you to undo edits to calendar events. Is there a
good reason that I'm, perhaps, missing?

I don't know why. I can ask.
