Nonstop Send and Recieve

After updating Office 2002, my send and recieve is going
haywire. It seems to be in a continuous state. When I
look at the details, the tasks are cancelling, then
repeating. The number of tasks keeps growing and
multiplying, none of which are completing. I click on
cancil all, and the whole thing starts over again within a
minute even though I have it set to send and recieve every
10 minutes.

Correction: It seems to be trying to send an email that
is not there. It fails, then trys again. The other tasks
are working. This one is hung up. Says it is unable to
connect with the server, then it tries again.

I can send trough another email address. The one that is
not working is a different one. I can recieve though it
fine. I have that account set to recieve only. I can't
figure out why it is trying to send, and what it is
sending? BTW I did a virus scan that turned up nothing.

You say that it is trying to send a message that is not there; have you
tried changing the view to try to make the message visible?

I appear to be having the same problem. What did you do to resolve this?
