Not able to add information with keyboard when adding event to calendar

I seem to randomly not be able to add information wiht the keyboard to
the event dialog box.
I can't close the item either because it says "The event subject
cannot be empty. Please enter a subject for this event." And since it
won't accept keyboard input, compliance with the error message is
difficult.

The only way to get rid of the box is to force entourage to quit.

Anybody know why this is happening to me?
Using Entourage 2004 version 11.0.0

I have had this problem too - most frustrating.

I get this happening when I use the arrow keys, for example on the Start or
End Time combo boxes. As soon as I use an arrow key, it makes it impossible
to type normally into any text box. I can usually click on the red button
"close box" though - no need to force quit the whole application. Then I can
open the event again and do what I need. It probably helps that I have
previously set windows to save automatically when I close them without
saving. (Try it.)


This is obviously a bad bug. So I just avoid using the arrow keys for combo
boxes (dates) now.
