Not getting all of the message

I have an attorney in the office who says that she is not getting all of her
³reply² messages says some have not appeared at all and some are missing
part of the ³reply² message. No one else in the office is having this
problem has anyone ever had this happen? I think I will delete her
account and do it over to see but other than that I can¹t think of why this
should happen to only one person on the network. Thanks. Lynne Lemoine

You may have already tried this but, who knows:

If you select a part of a message and then click the "Reply" button, it'll
only quote the selected part in the reply. So you might check out if she
doesn't select sections when reading emails (I sometimes do).

But well, this may be ways off the problem you describe. Does it happen on
any kind of mail, and can someone else reproduce this on her computer?

Please reply to the newsgroup, and within the same thread.
Merci de répondre au groupe, et dans l'enfilade.

A double dash -- on its own line seems to be a signal for Entourage not to
include the text below in replies, might account for part of the second
problem...

Double dash AND a space "-- " is the code you mean, according to what you
can read at the bottom of the window where you can manage your Signatures
(from the Tools Menu). Double dash only are apparently recognized as such.

Aha! Thanks much, I only learned about this trick from creating replies
that somehow didn't include all the text, so was extrapolating.

Couldn't find anything in Help about this option,

Check the article entitled "Entourage inserts hyphens in new signatures."
and I notice even the note
in the Signature doesn't mention it will delete text underneath by default,
which in a top-posting NG or a standard email correspondence can actually be
problematic, as it might delete older messages underneath a more recent
signature.

Yes, I know. It might have been designed that way because Entourage by
default replies on the bottom. In such messages, however, I find I don't
need such old text, and if I do, I can just manually select what I want.

I was fully prepared to feel silly, b/c I had searched Help under "reply"
and some other terms less relevant than "signature", but honestly, I think
they left this info out of Entourage 2001. I couldn't find anything under
the full title, or "signatures", "hyphens", or "insert".

Glad they fixed that for the next version!
