Not Receiving "Delivery Receipts"

Outlook 2k (with latest available MS patches) with XP Pro SP2 (with latest
available MS patches)
Set up as Corporate/Workgroup in the E-mail Service Options

When I create a New Mail Message and check the "Request a delivery receipt
for this message" in Options, I am not getting a "delivery receipt" even
though some/all of the recipient(s) are definitely on an Exchange/Outlook
system. Is there some option that I have to activate to successfully
request/receive a "delivery receipt"? I AM receiving a "read receipt" from
these recipients when this is selected in Options.
