Not receiving emails but can send okay

Hi

My employer has not been able to receive email on her computer since last
Tuesday but can send email.

The network settings randomly change themselves and a message comes up
saying "your network settings have been changed by another application".

I change everything back to how it should be, it says she is connected but
still no incoming emails?

Help please.

1. If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration
2. If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

That's what the "help" in entourage said but that wasn't the problem. In
the account settings under advanced, it required a tick in the "this LDAP
server requires a secure connection".

It then worked perfectly.

Advanced setting are part of the configuration.
