Novell and Outlook

Anyone know why all of my newly installed Outlook 2003 clients can not save
attachments to our Novell server? This was not an issue under Office XP.
When they choose the save attachment option, they get a message that the
folder is marked as read only (when indeed it is not). This is a consistent
issue on ALL Outlook 2003 client installations. We can save attachments to
the local PC and to other network shares, just not the Novell server. Any
ideas?

never heard of anything like this...so you have confirmed that they can save
items to the novell server via other applications?

Absolutely! Everything else works fine. It is just an issue with saving
attachments from Outlook 2003 to the Novell server. This might have
something to do with the fact that their other Office applications are XP.
We only run Outlook 2003 because we are on a SBS 2003 (which comes with
Outlook licenses). Thus the remainder of the Office applications are Office
XP. We will be moving to a full Office 2003 implementation in the future,
just not in the next 4-5 months (it's all about the $$$).
