Hi all,

I've read the MS Help Excel help file regarding IF statements and cobbled
together the following :

=COUNT(IF(Admin!D4:D337<95.5,IF(Admin!C4:C337="N",0)))-H4

No error message is displayed, although the output is incorrect and always
displays 1 when it should display 18.

When I select the cell containing the formula and select Insert>Function a
prompt is diplayed stating 'Formula Result = 18' which is correct. How do I
set about resolving this as I am likely to encounter this with other formulaA
I need to input.

Thanks in Advance...Jim.

=sumproduct((Admin!D4:D337<95.5)*(Admin!C4:C337="N"))-H4

this gives you the # of occurances of both sheet Admin col d < 95.5 an
col c = N, less the value in H4 (on this sheet

COUNT is ordinarily used to determine how many cells in a range, or list of
values that you provide, are numbers. Your IF formula returns a single number.
So COUNT has one argument, and it's a number, so the result is 1. Why do you
have the COUNT there at all?
