Now that I have Microsoft Office (Power Point) program installed (Thurs. Nov.
17/05) I would like to "houseclean" and in that Clean Disk Window, the Set-Up
Files for Microsoft Office, is listed as an option along with others such as
Temp. Internet Files, etc. But I'm afraid to check it for fear of losing my
installed M.O. Can you put me at ease about checking that option because it
would clean up a big chunk of files. Thank you. I await your reply.

Cleaning the setup files for Office shouldn't cause you to lose the
installed Office program(s).

Also, cleaning out Temporary Internet Files is almost always a good idea.

In Disk Cleanup, the entry for Office Setup files refers to the MSOCache
folder {and files}. You can delete MSOCache folder if you are short of
drive space. If you do so, you should only delete this folder with Disk
Cleanup. If you do delete the MSOCache folder {Office Setup files}, then
you will need your installation CD to install most Office 2003 updates.
Suggest you read the following before you do anything:

MSOcache
