NT domain Exchnage 5.5 and Entourange

I seem to be having the same problem. We have our Exchnage 5.5 server
that all the users use. The Mac's have been using it all along with no
problems. Now that they have moved to Entourage v.X when they connect
it authenicates their account to the domain (this is the only time
they authenicate)and they can get their mail but then their accounts
are locked out. So we reset Mac accounts all day. Even if they leave
their mail open their NT account still gets locked out.

Through Outlook 2001 (MAPI) or Entourage 2001 (POP)??

That's a new one for me. I suppose they are connecting through IMAP
right ??
I know the Exchange server 5.5 is not supposed to be supported, but you
should be able to get the mails through the IMAP services on the
Exchange server (no calendar or address book sync for you though).

Hello and it seems I'm having similar issues. Realy think I need to
talk to consultant as my environment is Mac hostile and I'm the or one
of the few Mac hold outs in the copr.

We have exc 5.5 a GAL and will switch to active directory on Memorial
holiday. I've been using outlook:2001 in classic mode and it really
sucks. want to move to entourage but will not get any help from my IT,
will have to manage on my own. Thus could use some help from the Mac
community. Any ideas or help is appreciated. I will need a walk through
to set up entourage on the exchange server if it is even possible.

Hi michael!

Have a look at this page on Microsoft's website
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/support.aspx?pid=exchange>. It may provide
you the information you're looking for. Keep in mind that once Entourage
2004 is released the requirements for full Exchange support may differ.
