numbering and bullets

Does anyone know how to remove the blank-space gap between
the number/bullets and the text that follows? Tried the
indent feature in Bullets customizer window; space width
changed but never to next character space. It had been
done by someone more experienced (I was helping to write
new document/resume from a previous one.)

You can use a space instead of a tab, or you can change the position of the
tab stop/indent in the numbering style.
