Hello,

I have a problem installing Offcie 2000 SP3 on the machines in my
organisation. I start it via SMS 2003 with the /Q flag so that all is
silent and unattended. However the installation appears just to hang until
the SMS Client failsafe timeout shuts it down. There is no indication in
any logs as to why it's failing.

Any help much appreciated,

Mark jennings

Was Office installed from a CD, or from a network install location? If it was
originally setup from an administrative install point then you cannot update
just the local client, you have to update the administrative install then
"re-cache" each machine.
