OBJ box and print preview

I am displaying in a text box, another box bordered by dotted line.
When previewing, any text thats in that text box is gone. What is
that dotted-line OBJ box and how to get rid of it? Tried using the F1
help but to no avail and my book does not discuss it at all. (Using
Delete Object clears whatever else is on the page) Any suggestion
welcomed. Thanks, Jim

Thanks, Mary. There is no descriptor no matter waht I do-but I got it
fixed by deleting every text box (10) on that page and starting over.
Had to re-type a lot of stuff.
Perhaps you can clear another problem concerning print preview. My
document has several pictures in it. I have added a text box in each
pic to enter a description of what the pic is. It looks fine until I
go to preview and then the text is gone. Come back to the working
screen and it's back. It happens only on 2 out of 4 pics even though I
followed the same procedure for all of them.
Ideas?
