Objects appearing on one computer and not another

To appear or not to appear

I have students that have already saved a presentation with photos set as
backgrounds and text placed over it. The next day when they return, some
objects are not appearing on the slide. If they log in to different
computer, the slide may appear complete. Why is the slide displaying
completely on one machine and incomplete on another?
