OCR/indexing TIF images using Indexing service

Hi,
I'm fighting with TIF images OCR-ing and inexing:

1. image gets OCR-ed + indexed fine when saved

2. problem: if the image is edited and saved in picture editor (ie text note
added) it doesn't get added into index

3. if I take image from point 2.) and move it "forth and back" (from
indexing service scope, then back where it was) it gets perfectly fully
OCR-ed and indexed

Office is 2003 SP2

Any idea how to fix this?
