OE - way to re-dl headers for ngs?

B

Bridget

Hi!

I'm new to using OE as a newsreader as I use Agent at home.

Two questions, pls, and I hope that I'm in an okay ng to ask them (?):

1) How do we "re-dl" headers? If I miss a message and then accidentally
delete it in Agent, I can just have Agent re-dl them. Does OE do this?

2) How can I "lock" messages. In Agent, I can click on a toolbar icon on
any threads I want to keep. Even if I select ALL the msgs in Agent and
delete - including the locked ones - they don't get deleted because of this
locking feature. How do I do this in OE pls?

Darn, there was something else I needed to ask but it slipped my mind. Oh
well, it'll come to me. This sure is easier than Google and certainly much,
much easier than using the MS site, so I'll be trying to figure my way
around it.

Thank you.

1) right click on the newsgroup on the left see and choose properties. the
last tab lets you reset.

2) OE doesn't support this - I move them to a folder in the inbox if I need
to keep them.

There is an outlook express newsgroup buried under internet explorer
newsgroups..
