Office 2000 in Windows XP: Each application stays up for 10 seconds then disappears

Hi,

Until recently my installation of the Office 2000 on my Win XP SP2
machine has been fine. I've installed a DVD-RW drive and Stomp
RecordNow software and a few other applications. Now Each Office
application stays up for 10 seconds then disappears.

What should I do? Thank you.
