Office 2000 sending blank mail

Jerry

I have a very weird problem. I'm using outlook 2000 and
for some reason when I'm sending mail sometimes it will
send a blank email to the address of the last person I was
emailing. Usually right after I reply to them. I have ran
3 different virus scans from different companies with
nothing found. I have AVG running and have check the log
files for viruses found with no results. Now I'm lost,
anybody have an idea of what's going on?

If it's just one person having the problem seeing emails
you send to them, advise that person to upgrade their
Internet Explorer version. Or you could try using plain
text email when sending, instead of using HTML.

Just a guess.

It is not that I'm sending somthing I've typed. They
getting the real email I've sent, it seems to send a 2nd
one as well with nothing typed. I can see both emails in
my sent folder, but I only sent one. Also this happens
only SOMETIMES to any address that I've replied to.....but
not to everyone in my contacts list.

One of my customers is having a similar problem. The recipient will get an
email without any text in the body. One peculiar thing is that after
exporting her contact list, email addresses looked like--

"(e-mail address removed)<some_control_character> SMTP (e-mail address removed)"

where some_control_character is a non-printable ascii char.

Could you do an export of your contacts file and see if the email looks
peculiar. Export to Windows Tab Delimited file and then look at it in
notepad.

Thanks,
