Office 2003 activation

K

krakan

I've installed Office 2003 Basic on a new PC, and I adtivated it
straight away - but now a few days later it's started acting funny,
symptoms are as though it was in reduced functionality mode (can't
edit documents or send emails)

When clicking on Help menu, the 'activate product' menu item does
nothing whatsoever, just as if hadn't clicked it. Can't find any
useful info an of course no phone numbers for MS product activation
anywhere - only mention is on the website where it helpfully tells me
to ge the number from the 2nd step of the activation wizard. Which
won't run.

Any ideas anyone? It's a genuine product key which hasn't been used,
bought from a genuine reseller so I'm certain it ain't that - funn
thing is there were no activation warnings at all, and no messages
telling us about it being in reduced functionality mode..

Heeeelp?
