Office 2003 and Citrix MetaFrame

I'm running Office 2003 over a Citrix MetaFrame Program Neighborhood v8.1
session and I seem to be getting a lot of READ-ONLY or FILE LOCKED when
opening a shared Excel or Access database. There is no rhymn or reason why
this happens. No one else is in these files yet I still get the error
messages. I've looked on Citrix's website but with no luck.

Does anyone know how to quit these errors from happening?
