I work for a library with 9 branches and we are debating if we should install
office 2003 locally on each pc or deploy the applications via citrix to our
staff computers. The staff pc's have ample hard drive space and by far exceed
the system requirements to run the office 2003 suite. Bandwidth is our main
issue as each branch has a single t1 connection back to the administrative
office where the citrix server resides. The T1 is shared by staff as well as
the public internet traffic all outgoing traffic is routed back through the
administrative office. Can anyone let me know the benefits and downfalls of
deploying the office suite over citrix or point me to some case studies or
other document pertaining to this situation? Thanks for your assistance.
