Office 2003: Preserving customisations with re-install?

N

Nigel Molesworth

From another thread, I think that my only way to get Access working is
to remove Office 2003 and do a complete reinstall.

I'm concerned that an uninstall and reinstall will loose my emails and
customisation (mainly Word) etc.

Is there a way to preserve my customisation? Most stuff is saved in
Normal.DOT, but I think that toolbar options etc are stored elsewhere.

In Office 2003, under All programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools,
you can select the Save My Settings Wizard. This will back up all of your
customisations.

I've actually reinstalled now, and all was OK, but that is very handy,
thank you.
