Dear Everyone,
One of my students has a visual disability and until now has been fine using
our PCs with Microsoft XP Pro and Office 2000.
We have now upgraded to Office 2003, and my student can no longer see the
toolbars, as the contrast has drastically changed. Although to most people
the new toolbar design is more aesthetically pleasing, to a visually impaired
person, the more subtle colours and contrast make its use impossible.
I have searched the Internet and asked various professional in
accessibility, and no one knows of any way to change to look of the toolbars
in Office 2003, unlike Office 2000 and before.
Please, does anyone have a working solution to this problem, as my student
can no longer continue his education until a solution is found, and access
and inclusion prospects of this problem are quite phenomenal. Yours
sincerely,
Alex Gwinn
