Office 2004, Entourage, Calendar events

have duplicate events in my calendar, many of them, rather than individually deleting them, and going back for years, how can i get rid of all duplicates, and stop the calendar for events older than 1 year? i am talking about ongoing birthday's, anniversaries, that recurs.
