A customer has downloaded and installed the Office 2007 Beta. Since then,he
has been unable to open .PDF files with Acrobat reader. He is unwilling to
uninstall the beta and revert to Office 2003. Does anyone know wheter there
is a problem with the beta that can cause this?

Hi Angel,

If you're talking just the Adobe Acrobat Reader, not an Adobe Acrobat product Add-in in Word then the reader should function, but he
should check for updates for the reader. (If I recall it's at 7.07 or so at this point).

If the user is talking one of the Word Add-ins from Adobe then it could be a setting for security in the Word options area that is
keeping the macros in the addin from running or that the add-in hasn't been reconnected, or it could be an incompatability of a
particular addin with the Office 2007 beta apps.

Is the user trying to open .PDF files by double clicking them? Can he run the reader first and then open a PDF file? If so, it
could be the file associations, but that would also be a good place to use the Help=>Check for Updates feature in the Adobe Reader.
