Office 2007 Continues to reconfigure

All of my Office programs keep installing everytime I open them except for
Outlook. However, Outlook will start installing 2 or 3 times for every email
I receive. I am running Vista home Premium. I have tried everything I could
find in these posts but nothing has worked. I have installed the same disk
on a different computer and it works fine.

Bart,
I'm assuming you are on Vista. If so, log in as Administrator and run the
programs once each as admin. Then all should be fine. Or you could turn off
the ACL and it should work after that.

I am having the same problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2007
three times and it still wants to reconfigure every time I open a program.

What is the deal with this suite?

Mine didn't uninstall the old version. I'm guessing that if an old
version of Word opens up, it reconfigures Windows everytime. Then, it
has to do it again when you open the new version. My guess is that you
need to unintall the old version. The only problem is that the new one
won't write in Spanish, so I can't do it.

Let me try this again. I am using Vista Ultimate. I did have Office 2003
installed with no problems. It worked great. But I started getting files from
others in 2007 format. So, I assumed I could install them side by side.
Wrong! After I installed 2007 no matter what I did, from opening access to
word or just opening a folder, it would try to reconfigure Office. So I
uninstalled 2007 and it still wanted to reconfigure 2003 . So I removed 2003
and installed 2007 and the same thing, it still wants to reconfigure every
time I open any program or folder. Any suggestions?

I have had Office 2007 installed for months with no problems. Earlier this
week something happened and now each time I start an office 2007 program I
get a screen displayed titled "Configuration Progress". This configuration
progress runs from 1 to 5 minutes (depending on the program, outlook, word,
etc) and then the program starts.

What is causing this!!! I am NOT running the old office suite.
