I have tried to install Office 2007 Professional on my Dell laptop 5 times!
In this order-
1.) Straight Upgrade
2.) Customize
Both of the above was done with a prior version of Office.
3.) Customize w/selecting different options.
4.) Install
5.) Customize
The last 3 times was when I spent 4 hours making sure that NO PREVIOUS
version of office was on my machine. The darn setup just quits! And the only
thing I looking at, on the LCD screen, is a dialog box that says, setup
encountered errors---duh!
No other explanation(s), no chance to see what the error(s) are, NOTHING!
We all spend a LOT of money to get these programs, only to be "treated" in
this manner! Now I have a program that won't install, and I've done away with
my previous version of office. DOES ANYONE, ANYWHERE HAVE ANY COMMENTS ABOUT
THIS SITUATION? HOW ABOUT YOU MICROSOFT?
