Office 2007 send to Email does not work

I am unable to send a Word document or an Excel spreadsheet as the e-mail
icon on the quick access tool bar does not work nor is it listed under the
file menu in the send to only as fax or bluetooth device. I have windows mail
set at default mail program. Although I can add the icon to send to mail from
the quick access tool bar when I click on it, it does nothing Any help would
be greatly appreaciated.

I have tried a few things. it will send acopy of the spread sheet but it
will not send it as an attachment from the excel or word program the command
does not work. this is the home office and student version of office 2007 I
need to be able to send as an attachment from the programs.

What email program are you using to try to send these items from Office? If this is the Home and Student version, it does not have an integrated version of Outlook. If you are using a prior version, Outlook and Office versions must match for Office automation to work, such as send to and mail merge.

I am using windows mail as the default mail handler, Windows Vista is the OS.
The function to send to email as an attachement does not work to send a
document or spread sheet from Office Home and Student Verison.
