Is there an uninstaller tool available for Office 2007 like other vendor
programs have?

Add/Remove did not work in my case and neither did KB928218 although i think
it would be a good idea to create a tool program that does what is contained
in KB928218.

I have never seen KB928218 fail to uninstall office 2007.

I have been able to manually delete all of the office2007 files except
for seven "dll" files. They won't budge no matter what I do.

grooveintlresource.dll
grooveshellextensions.dll
groovemisc.dll
grooveutil.dll
groovesystemservices.dll
groovenew.dll
OLKFstub.dll

The "1033" directory contains most of these and of course I can't
delete it until these files are gone. Above that is the "office12"
directory and the top level is "microsoft Office"

What to do now?

This typically happens because something is running in the background. You
should be able to rename these files. Or.. you could try booting into safe
mode and delete them, or clear msconfig, reboot and delete.

Ok, thanks Eric.

I'll try renaming them first. If that doesn't do it, I'll boot to safe
mode. Last week though my computer refused to boot into safe mode.

Even the HP tech's weren't able to get it to do that. That's another
problem altogether.

I was able to rename them and then delete them with o problems.

I have a sneaky suspicion that there is probably lots of stuff in the
registry that needs to go, but I don't know the best way to do that.

Well there is stuff in the registry that needs to go. It is listed in
KB928218.

You can locate the keys that are listed in KB928218 to delete by going to
start, run, and typing "regedit". (And hitting enter)
