Office 2K3 install not working correctly!

Trying to install Office 2K3 via the GPO and
the "software installation" with the MSI and a custom MST
however after the push of the application it does not
remove the previous version of a specific application.
If you all or anyone with info on how to make this work
correctly please let me know.
