I've been told Office 7.0 works on XP. Is there any truth to this?

I've been told Office 7.0 works on XP. Is there any truth to this?

I believe Office 7.0 would also be known as Office 95.

I had it installed on my Windows XP Pro system last year, and it worked
fine -- well, PowerPoint, Word and Excel all worked fine. I don't think I
even opened any other application.

I've read that others have had problems with this combination, though.
(Cannot for the life of me remember what the problems were or if they were
serious, sorry.)
