Office 98 in XP - docs open with "revert to saved" dialog

I was recently upgraded to a Windows XP machine at work, but we're still
using Office 98. Every time I double-click to open a document in Excel or
Word (haven't checked other Office programs), the doc opens with a dialog
demanding to know whether I want to revert to the saved version. Most
annoying. Any idea how I can stop it from doing this?

Office 98 is a Mac version, so I seriously doubt you're using it with
Windows XP. Try reregistering your Office programs as described in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=200915 "WD97: Error Message: Do You
Want to Revert to the Saved Version of <File Name>?".
