office accounting 2008 beginning balance entry

If you try to enter a journal entry for general ledger beginning balances,
you can not enter the balance for accounts payable or accounts receivable.
There for the journal entry can not balance. The Accountant group would
sure like to enter beginning balnced Journal entry versus entering beginning
balances in the chart of accounts and adding beginning ar and ap invoices.
