Will the Office Pro 2007 upgrade fully upgrade my 2000 version? Also, if I
download the trial version but choose not to purchase will my 2000 version be
fully restored to its current functionality or will I have to re-install it?

Somewhere on the download site for the trial version there's a warning that you
may need to reinstall your older version if you choose not to purchase the
trial.

I'd make certain you have the installation CD for Office 2000 before installing
the trial.
