Office running slowly, especially Excel

Hi

I'm running Excel 2002 and Word 2002 on Windows XP SP2 on
my new PC (P4 3GHz, 1024Mb RAM) and Office is running really
slowly.

I've got a Workbook with about 12 command buttons on it and it
takes about 30 secs just to load up. Also, none of my pictures (e.g.
company logo) are displaying in Excel or Word.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
