P

Manilla folders now come in every colour of the rainbow- why are they still
tan on my computer? I want to be able to colour code my folders, and change
the colours of individal folders- pink for work, red for urgent, blue for
financial etc...

If you mean the folders in Windows Explorer, that can be changed in Windows XP, NOT Microsoft Office.

Note that only Windows XP has such an option, older versions of Windows (such as Windows 95, Windows 98,
Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows NT) do not have the option.

If you are running Windows XP, right click the folder and choose Properties. There you should find a tab or
button related to changing the folder icon to something else (using either an icon file or image file,
example: .ico or .jpg).

Now I don't think you can just change the color of the folder, however, if you have Corel Paint Shop Pro or
Adobe Photoshop, you could easily use RGB (Red/Green/Blue) or HSL (Hue/Saturation/Lightness) menu option to
change the color of any image.

I'd suggest that you ask this question on the Windows XP newsgroups.

That's a WINDOWS default - not an OFFICE default.
