Hello- v 10.1.1 I would like to transfer my Entourage data to another
computer. I understand that all Entourage data is in the Office X
Identities folder. What files should I copy & replace?

Also:
-What do the various files actually do? (database, database cache, mailing
lists, rules, & signatures)

-What happens if I create several folders under Office X Identities which
contain all of the above files? Can Entourage be switched to use one, or
the other, or all, of the folders?

Thank you for any guidance!!

Hello- v 10.1.1 I would like to transfer my Entourage
data to another computer. I understand that all
Entourage data is in the Office X Identities folder.
What files should I copy & replace?

The "Main Identities" folder should be copied. For
details, you can see the Entourage Help Page FAQ:
http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq/faqs.html
What do the various files actually do? (database,
database cache, mailing lists, rules, & signatures)

Database and database cache contain almost everything.
Mailing lists, rules and signature contain the data
corresponding to those items in the "Tools" menu.
What happens if I create several folders under Office X
Identities which contain all of the above files?

You're creating a new identity, identical to the "Main
Identity". This can be useful to create an archive
identity (and then you can clean up your Main Identity)...
Can Entourage be switched to use one, or the other,
or all, of the folders?

Yes, certainly, you can "Swith Identity" from the
"Entourage" Menu. You can have as many identities as you
like but, of course, you can only open one at a time.

Thank you, Bernard. That was a big help.
