Of the MS Office and Entourage application preferences, which one
contains the contacts? Sync between Entourage and my Palm has deleted
some of my addresses. I want to learn if I can find a old preference
file that contains lost contact data.

The database file has all entourage info. You can try settings the palm
desktop software to have entourage overwrite the palm if the palm is missing
the data, or have the palm overwrite entourage if it's the other way around.

While I was waiting for this topic to get a reply, I did just that. I
updated Entourage and then set conduit to overwrite the palm. All
should be groovy. Fix and forget? Wrong!

A day ago I used the palm to look up an address. I find I have two of
everything in palm and many are exact matches. And none of them have
addresses. What a mess!

Entoruage has none of the duplicates and still has the addresses.
Thankfully one of the db is, ok.

I am getting conflicting information. One source tells me that
Entoruage and Palm can sync only one type of address: Work or Home.
Another says sync will send only the default address to the palm.
Which is it?
