Office X updates / or just Entourage X

Sorry if this has been covered before ad nauseum, like most issues from a
newbie, but I just found this newsgroup.

How do I update my Office X package from where it is? I see where to find
recent updates but I have been lax abut this and just saw Outlook 2003 on a
buddies PC and was wondering if some of those attributes are in updates for
the Mac Office X setup. If not at least it¹ll be updated.

I¹m on 10.0.1 for Entourage (I don¹t know on the others; release is not in
same spot)

There are two ways to update Entourage:

1. Under Help in the Menu bar select Check for Updates
2. Visit Mactopia downloads: <http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx>

Normally, I would suggest using the auto updater, but there have been
problems with failed updates recently using this method. I do suggest you
set it to auto notify you. It does not automatically install the update, but
you would be notified you when updates are released and choose which method
to download. It¹s important to stay updated.

Latest version: Microsoft Office v. X for Mac 10.1.8

After an update, the different Office applications can have different
version/build numbers. How to see if you are updated:

Thanks Diane for the help. The links make it easy too.

My problem is I am on Office X version 10.0.2 and the updater for 10.1.8
won¹t work. Is there somewhere I can find the intermediary updates and then
step up to the latest?

It should work, the Microsoft Office v. X for Mac 10.1.8 Update update
includes all of the improvements released in all previous Office v. X
updates.

Did you try the update?

Thanks Diane, That worked. I thought I would be able to get pop up notices
of emails just like the reminders of calendar events but haven¹t found yet.
Good stuff though.
