I updated Office XP Pro with Office 2003 Pro and kept Office XP installed.
If I run Excel 2002, invoke VBE, click on help, type anything under the index
tab and choose any topic, I get an Error: Not Implemented dialog box and
badly formatted help. This is apparently because msohelp has gotten
vbaxl10.chm from office11 and not from office10.
The cause of this seems to be the registry value
HKCR\Installer\Components\71CE92CC2CB71D119A12000A9CE1A22A\1033\vbaxl10.chm.
There are two strings in this REG_MULTI_SZ value, the first apparently for
office11 and the second for office10. If I simply swap the two strings both
Excel 2002 and Excel 2003 work properly. Then you can move on to Word and
see the same problem with another file and a similar solution, etc. The
problem is that there are hundreds of these values and swapping more of them
may cause problems...
Is there any good fix for this problem?
