Office XP OEM will not accept valid product key

I have received a new valid product key to reinstall my
Office XP OEM Dell software after having to rebuild the
computer. The valid product keys provided are not
working - I have been told disk damage can sometimes
affect this ...though I see none - any further
suggestions? Much appreciated in advance!

Why did you need a new key? It's the same system, so a replacement key
shouldn't have been necessary. Anyway, this is a Dell problem. As the OEM it
is fully responsible for *all* support, including replacement keys and
media. MS does not, will not and, indeed, cannot support OEM supplied
licences. The onus is fully on Dell
