Office XP Student

D

DJ

I have an office XP CD that I am trying to install. I
know it installed fine once before and I redid my hard
drive and needed to reinstall it.
I first got this error: Error 1335. The cabine
file 'Office1.cab' required for this installation is
corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a
network error, an error reading from the CD-Rom, or a
problem with this package.
I pushed ignore, and then got: Error 2350 An internal
error has occured. ( ) Contact Microsoft Product
Support Services for assistance.
If I push retry instead, I still get another weird error
(I didn't write that one down)
So I went online to contact MS, but I need a product ID,
which apparently is different from the product key,
because the formats between the two are different. I'm
at a loss as to what to do...

First of all, have you tried copying the files from the CD to your HDD and
running setup from there?

Thanks,
G.

I have now... it gave me a corruption error :( Do you
think manually deleting my old version of Office and then
installing will help?

nono, you shall get a new disk replacement set, because the disk itself is
corrupted.
Contact your retail store where you've bought it.
