After upddating to the latest service pack, when I start Outlook 2007
the computer goes into configuration all the time? Any idea's as to
why? And how to correct?

Office issue as this has nothing to do which Windows OS is installed. Office is not dependant on Windows. It is a separate program outside of Windows

Explain configuration. Is it the Installer that wants to install or is it the program itself trying to configure the actual install

Please Stop confusing people peter,
and FYI........
its the windows installer which helps the program to configure .
neither me nor you can install program without windows installer .which uses
WI to
configure itself . if you don't belive i will give a simple example
for installing SP1 for office 2007 you need windows installer 3.1
